Introducing Partners in Prevention
Since 2020, Clove Alliance has been providing free sexual harassment prevention training to local businesses to assist them in fulfilling the State of Illinois’ annual mandate. In doing this work, it became clear that more needed to be done to support organizations in creating safe and inclusive workplaces. Our Outreach Department is pleased to announce Clove’s Partners in Prevention program. This partnership between Clove Alliance and local businesses aims to empower organizations to eliminate harassment through training, policy, and leadership development.
38% of women and 14% of men have reported experiencing sexual harassment at work. These statistics reflect the importance of employers knowing how to effectively respond to claims with a trauma-informed approach. Gina Greene, our Training and Education Specialist shared, “Organizational leaders want to react appropriately when an employee experiences sexual harassment or sexual violence in or outside of the workplace, but often do not have the training or experience to know how to respond to disclosures of harassment or violence. Clove Alliance now provides customized training to equip leaders with the tools they need to respond in a victim-centered way.”
In addition to customized trainings for leaders, our Partners in Prevention program offers ongoing harassment training for employees, policy review and development services, and customized trainings based upon your organization’s needs. This partnership is free to all businesses and organizations located in Kankakee, Iroquois, or Ford counties.
