What We Do: A Community Conversation with Clove Alliance

Learn about Clove Alliance’s mission, services, and trauma-informed approach to supporting survivors of sexual violence and trauma. Participants will gain an understanding of how trauma affects emotional, physical, and psychological well-being, and why survivor-centered care is essential in the community. The presentation also highlights advocacy, counseling, prevention, and educational services available through Clove Alliance.

Sexual Harassment Prevention

This interactive training gives employees the knowledge and tools to recognize, prevent, and respond to sexual harassment in the workplace, in accordance with the Illinois Human Rights Act and other applicable federal and state laws. Participants also learn about employee and employer rights and responsibilities, as well as reporting procedures.

Compassionate Response to Disclosure & Mandated Reporting

This training prepares education professionals and other mandated reporters to recognize possible child sexual abuse, respond compassionately to disclosures, and fulfill their legal responsibilities. Participants will learn about common indicators of abuse, grooming and online exploitation, trauma-informed communication, and the legal standard for making a report to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Through practical examples, participants will build confidence in supporting children while avoiding causing additional harm.

Recognizing and Responding to Human Trafficking

Human Trafficking impacts communities across Illinois, including our local area. Yet, it often goes unrecognized by the people and organizations that encounter survivors in everyday settings. This training shares the knowledge and tools needed to identify potential trafficking situations and respond appropriately to support people at risk of human trafficking. It improves community preparedness and compliance with Illinois Public Act 104-0099.

Sexual Violence Training for First Responders

This concise, trauma-informed training equips law enforcement and other first responders with practical strategies for responding effectively to disclosures of sexual violence and is designed to complement departmental policies

Topics include trauma-informed communication, hospital response, mandated reporting requirements, referral pathways, and how to connect survivors with Clove Alliance’s free services. The training also covers advocacy and legal protections, including absolute privilege.

Trauma-Informed Care, Survivor Support, and Community Healing

This training provides a foundational understanding of trauma, common trauma responses, and how counseling and trauma-informed care support healing and recovery.

Participants will learn how trauma affects emotional, physical, and psychological well-being, how trauma influences healthcare experiences, and why survivor-centered care is essential in community and healthcare settings. The training also highlights available advocacy, counseling, prevention, and educational services provided by Clove Alliance.
