The Power of Your Support

Giving Tuesday is an annual day of generosity that’s celebrated the world over. On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (December 3 in 2024), people make a point to do some extra good. Whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or donating to causes, everyone has something to give! Every act of generosity counts.

At Clove Alliance, we are always grateful for the outpouring of community support we get on Giving Tuesday. Over the past fiscal year, it helped us serve 983 survivors and their loved ones. We also reached 11,509 students with sexual violence prevention programs and 58,692 people through training and outreach initiatives.

When community members like you choose to support Clove Alliance, whether by donating, volunteering, or attending events, you’re making our work reach further and fanning the flames of hope. Your involvement shows a commitment to survivors’ healing and illuminates a shared vision of ending sexual violence.

Let’s take a look at how your actions support survivors and Clove Alliance’s work on their behalf—on Giving Tuesday and beyond.

Be in the loop on the impact in our community and the latest info on Giving Tuesday by following Clove Alliance on social media and subscribing to our newsletter!

Giving

Donations are more than just financial transactions; they represent a partnership between Clove Alliance and our community. They empower us to innovate, adapt, and thrive while staying accountable to survivors.

Gifts from people like you are especially helpful because they can cover vital needs like infrastructure, outreach, and staff salaries. These expenses are essential for our daily operations but harder to fund through grants or corporate gifts, which tend to have many restrictions. The flexibility of individual donations is powerful! It lets us move quickly and put resources where they’re needed most.

If you can financially support our work, please donate today. You can even choose recurring donations, a perfect way to provide consistent, reliable, hassle-free support to Clove Alliance. Make a one-time donation or set up monthly giving here.

Volunteering

Dedicating time to a cause you care about is a great way to turn your values into action. Clove Alliance is always looking for passionate volunteers! We have opportunities to suit a variety of skills and schedules, so check it out.

Our volunteers benefit from comprehensive training, ongoing education, a caring community of like-minded volunteers, and dedicated staff support. Volunteers typically serve in one of three roles: Crisis Hotline Advocate, Events and Special Projects Advocate, or Front Desk Advocate. Each role offers a unique way to make an impact.

Events

It is powerful to see our community show up to support survivors. Looking out at a crowd of people who have come together because they believe in a world free from sexual harm is an inspiring sight for us. More importantly, it is a moving sight for survivors in our community.

Clove Alliance hosts various events each year: art shows, BINGO nights, trainings, and more! Joining us at events that grow awareness about sexual violence, support survivors, or raise money to provide services is a great way to show you care.

Giving Tuesday Sparkes Generosity

We hope Giving Tuesday inspires you to get involved with the causes you care about. It also offers a special opportunity to call on friends and family to join in! Share our posts on social media, email a friend to tell them about Clove Alliance and why you support us, and spread messages of hope for survivors so they know you are cheering them along their healing journey.

Whatever way you choose to get involved this year, know that survivors and our team of supporters are thankful.
