April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month: Get Involved!

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a time to support survivors, raise awareness about sexual violence, and take action to prevent harm in our communities. It’s a special time for us at Clove Alliance, and we hope you’ll take our invitation to get involved. Whether you attend local events, share information, or support from afar, your involvement helps create a safer, more compassionate community.

Why SAAM Matters

Sexual violence is more common than many people realize. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than half of women and nearly one in three men experience sexual violence involving physical contact during their lifetime. Despite how widespread it is, many survivors never report their experiences due to fear, stigma, or lack of support.

SAAM is an opportunity to change that. It’s a time to listen, learn, and show survivors that they are not alone—and that support is available right here in our community. You can learn more about our work and impact on our website.

Get Involved This SAAM

There are many ways to make a difference this April:

  • Attend an event: Show your support through the many events listed below
  • Share information: Help spread awareness on social media and within your community—follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Donate: Support our work here with a one-time or recurring gift—every dollar makes a difference
  • Volunteer: Learn more about getting involved by giving some of your time and talents
